Free: Very battered office/gaming chair (Comiston EH10) Gifted 20d - You'll see from the photos, this has seen a lot of life. The vinyl/covering is cracked and worn in lots of places. The padding in some bits (e.g. the arms) is wearing thin. My son tells me some of the bolts are missing (yikes!). But it works. The up/down mechanism works. It reclines. The castors work and it can scoot about the floor. It seemed fairly robust. Is anyone interested, or is it time for it to go to the chair graveyard? Available in Morningside, but I'm away until the 24th, so you can't pick it up before then.

Free: Travel Shoe Shine / Polish Sponges (Comiston EH10) Gifted 107d - A selection of little shoe shine polisher kits that they give you when you travel. Most came from the ScotRail Sleeper, but there's some other ones. Maybe you have a lot of shoes to clean? I don't. Available in Morningside.

Free: Microwavable Popcorn (Comiston EH10) Gifted 119d - 11 packets of Costco microwavable popcorn NOTE: THE BEST BEFORE DATE IS July 2022. Having said that, I was feeding it to youngsters over the summer and they didn't complain. Yet more food my kids decided they didn't like after I'd bulk-bought it. Available in Morningside.

Free: Steam Iron Cleaner / Descaler (Comiston EH10) Gifted 119d - Largely unused (I'd say it's about 80-90% full). It's fairly old - the price sticker says Grays and they closed in 2010. Neither me or my wife remember buying it. Anyone got a dirty or scaled iron they want to freshen up? In Morningside.

Free: Beginner's classical guitar (Comiston EH10) Gifted 243d - Everything works. However the plastic bits on two of the tuning pegs have fallen off - my kids turned them with a pair of pliers. See photo. Available in Morningside.

Request: Empty bottles or jars (with lids) (Comiston EH10) Received 248d - I'm taking part in Doors Open Day this weekend and we're going to be running an Apple Press (to make Apple juice). I'm looking for some plastic/glass bottles (with lids) that we can use to let people take some of the juice away. Does anyone nearby have some I could have? Happy to give them a rinse/clean, but not really after anything particularly yucky! I'm in Morningside. I'd need to get them before Sunday (as that's when the event is) Thanks in advance. In pretty good condition and everything works - the seat swivels and the wheels, erm, wheel. I've always found it pretty comfy when sitting at a desk. We now have more chairs than people and desks, so it's time to set it free. Collection from Morningside. Bulky, but not that heavy. Anyone? Craig

Free: Reusable freezer/ice blocks/bags (Comiston EH10) Gifted 350d - These came with are frozen food delivery. Gel-filled bags which you freeze and use to keep things cold. 8 of them. About 4" x 5 inches (see photo - tennis ball for scale). The delivery note says the gel is non-toxic and can be disposed of down a domestic sink when not needed.

Free: 4/5 person tent (Comiston EH10) Gifted 1y - Hi, Coleman's Darwin 5 tent from around 2010. Sleeps 4/5 people in 2 bedrooms with separate living space. We used this every year for over a decade and it's great for a family of 4. Here's an overview/some reviews: The main thing to point out is that this is a VERY HEAVY tent - about 25kg. It's not something you want to carry particularly far. You can separate it into different bits (polls, outer shell, etc) which helps. This is a really well engineered tent with lots of good features (zippable ground sheet, storage area, storage pockets, hooks for lights, mesh windows, good ventilation, entry point for power, multiple doors, etc). It is showing it's age slightly (i.e. is a little bit saggy at the front), but is still watertight. I'll list all the bad points so you aren't disappointed: * A number of the poles have cracked and are held together with tape (but this has held them together for years) * The front sags a bit (so you have to stand up and poke the roof to get the water to drain off now and again) * The carrying bag it goes in has ripped (because it was so heavy!) * The assembly instructions were rubbish (I've got some better ones I found on the internet somewhere) * We've lost the poles which let you turn the front door into a canopy - the door works, you just can't set it up as a canopy. Happy to give a demonstration on how to put it up. I'll even throw in a mallet so you have everything you need. Available in Morningside. Anyone?

Free: Big bag of dry puppy food (Comiston EH10) Gifted 1y - About 7 or 8kg of Arden Grange Junior/puppy food. It has been opened, but my (fussy) dog has decided she doesn't like it. Anyone? It's quite heavy (erm, about 7 or 8kg!) In for collection in Morningside.

Books from the following series: > Icefire (Chris D'Lacey) > Frozen (Melissa De La Cruz) > Animas (C.R.Grey) > Mr Gum (Andy Stanton) The last one isn't really fantasy, but targeting a similar age range. I don't think there's any complete series here, but plenty to keep a teenager going. Available in Morningside. Anyone?

Free: Ice packs (Comiston EH10) Expired 1y - 8x Ice Packs. The things that you freeze then put in cool bags to keep other things cool. These came with a frozen food delivery. They are made of quite thick plastic with a water-based gel inside. Anyone?

Free: Dell Powedge 2800 Server (Comiston EH10) Gifted 1y - I got this from a Freegler and it's time to find a new home - we've got a cheaper, more efficient replacment. Back in the mid-2000s, this was an impressive bit of kit, but now it is large, noisy and uses electricity like it was cheap to do! But if you can live with that, or use it for spares, or have some other plan, then it is yours. Specs: - 2x XEON 2.8 GHz CPU - 8GB ECC RAM - 6x 72GB SCSI Fast High Performance Drives - no OS or software Available in Morningside. You'll need a strong back and transport. Anyone? Craig. Free: Big Polystyrene Box with Lid (Comiston EH10) Gifted 1y - Frozen food was shipped in this. Useful if you have stuff to keep cool, or possibly for other purposes (I've seen them used as planters). It measures about 17" X 13" and about 9" high. It's reasonably sturdy (but I wouldn't try standing on it). Photo with tape measure and curious dog for scale. In Morningside.

Request: headboard for single bed (Comiston EH10) Expired 1y - Need a headboard for a single divan bed. My son is moving back in, so trying to nice-up a bedroom for him. I must admit, I find that piling a few pillows against the wall works okay, but then most beds have headboards, so I presume they serve a purpose. If you have one, we'd be delighted to take it off your hands. Happy to collect from most places round Edinburgh. Thanks, Craig Request: OS Maps covering Hadrian's Wall (Comiston EH10) Received 1y - My wife is planning a walking holiday along Hadrian's Wall. Does anyone have any maps covering parts of the route? I think the OS Explorer maps are numbers 314, 315, 316 and OL43 The Landranger ones are 85, 86, 87 and 88. If anyone has any spare, they'd be put to good use. Regards, Craig
