- I used these as decorative items. They have never been opened. The red peppers are stored in oil and the other is a spiced oil. I don't know how long these are good for since they are preserves. The jars could also be used for pickled eggs and/or homemade vinaigrette or spiced oil. I prefer to keep them as decorative items. They bring color and warmth to the kitchen. Pick up only. Gatineau. - I'm in need of a carpete for my Grade 1 classroom with dimensions roughly 12 feet x 8 feet (3.5 m x 2.5m) or a little bigger. It also needs to be a carpet than velcro (hook and loop) sticks to.
