Carpets and carpet pieces (Wethersfield CM7)

I’m just reaching the end of a long renovation project, and need to protect the new flooring as it is laid. I would like to do this by laying pieces of carpet - old, used, whatever - until the house is ready to move into in a few weeks time. Thanks for any offers!
