Windfall Gravenstein apples. Great for pies, crisp, cobbler, applesauce, apple butter, etc. I have been using them in my smoothies. Some might have inhabitants (codling moths but I have not been finding apple maggots). Some have bitter pit (punky brown spots in the flesh--a calcium deficiency disease). They are slightly under ripe at this point but still plenty tasty. If you don't mind doing some trimming, these make the best pie. I never bother peeling them. This is my tree's bearing year, so I will have way more than I can process for the next couple of weeks. If you'd like some, let me know and we can arrange COVID-safe pickup.
