herbs vegetables for garden (L5L 5P5)

I’m starting fresh - so need herbs, vegetables etc to plant so if anyone has any to share please provide your location.

Ideas: basil, grape cherry tomatoes,
open to ones east to grow too

We have a small area for garden.
