Benches, Antique Hawaiin (Ventura Neigborhood)

My great grandparents bought a solid wood “hiki'e” (large couch or daybed) in Hawaii 100 years ago. In the 70s, my parents made it into two benches and with painted plywood tops. They need a little touchup work but are very sturdy and solid wood legs are beautifully carved. Together they can support up to a queen mattress on a board or box spring, or they can be used separately with or without pillows as benches.
