really vintage carpenter tool

I have an old draw knife that is pure vintage. It has seen its share of hard work, for sure and could use som TLC from someone who loves old tools. One handle remains, wrapped in tape and not the other side, a piece of iron pipe serves as the handle.
This thing as seen some action and some time.
I see that the ends of the handles have some manner of hooked shape at the end.
Tihis is some old school stuff, for sure.
I you are in to restoring vintage tools, this is for you.
The flat blade is about maybe 10" wide. I am sure that it belonged to some of my ancestors. They came from up around the Great Lakes and were around a lot of logging and wood. But, I have no use for it.
