Working sewing machine (Kensington)

When I was a kid (last one, older siblings from previous marriage) our family only had a broken machine and we always had to do everything by hand. Looking to get started with converting nylon ripstop shorts to a skirt (seam-ripped already), replacing velcro on a nylon wrap skirt, sewing-down pleats on a kilt, attaching 3 Hawaiian shirts to each other to make a dress, maybe chop up some old clothes to make skirts, crop tops, sleeveless shirts, and then make my own designs of dresses with raw fabric someday.
