It's an ipad 9.3.5 MC979X/A apple device. Fairly sure it's a 2016 version. It is a 32 bit architecture device, while all recent versions of ios/iPad are designed for 64 bit hardware platforms. This means that the iPad cannot be updated to anything newer than the 9.3.5 that it's running as the internal hardware doesn't meet technical requirements for new versions. So, you are stuck with a dated operating system which still works fine on some sites eg youtube, but won't work well on other sites eg it doesn't bring up images on real estate selling sites. The border of the iPad has a crack along the top edge (see picture) but the crack isn't over the screen and doesn't affect the use of the iPad. Comes with charger and case.
