Toddler Micro scooter/cycling helmet (Hillsborough S6)

I bought this helmet on EBay but when it arrived I discovered that it was missing the ratchet at the back to adjust it and the internal adjustable part was held together with tape. The seller gave me a full refund and said I didn't have to send it back and I have bought a new one, so before i throw it out I'm wondering if anyone would use it? (I know they are thirty quid new!)? The seller used it taped up so if you wanted to have a go at doing the same I think it would be fine, it just makes it a faff to adjust. Might be ok for occasional use or as a spare? It's the size 48-53. See photos - it's otherwise in fine condition.
