Older or Unused Apple Products for Computer Science Project (Druids Heath B14)

Hi, I am a college student and Im studying Computer Science. My teacher gave us a class project where we have to gather tech and electronics and take it apart and learn about the hardware and/or if the device works then also about the operating system and so I wanted to ask does anyone have any older, unused or broken Apple products like older Macbooks, Iphones, Ipads, MacPro's or iMacs or whatever other Apple products so that I could potentially learn how they work on the inside or how MacOS or iOS works. I have never really messed around much with Apple products so I thought I'd want to try and check out some of Apple's older products for the project and see how they work.
