Singer #6308 Sewing Machine. One of the throat plate screws is not the original and it's been "stripped" so I can't get the plate off to clear the thread jam. This was used for many years by my sister-in-law, who was an excellent seamstress so it is a good machine. It could probably be repaired by someone with the right tool to remove the screw and the patience to play around with it, and getting the right replacement screw. If you're not handy, it would be worth the time to take it to a Singer repair shop to see what the repair cost would be.
