Did you upgrade your monitor with a back to school sale and don't know what to do with your old one? I can help!!! In other words - Do you have a monitor to gift?
Ideally, I'd love one with an HDMI and VGA or HDMI and Apple DisplayPort (google tells me that is a thing, though I've never seen one in person). I have an older monitor that works beautifully, but because of perceived obsolescence and proprietary outputs, it isn't working for my new setup.
For work, I have a PC with only an HDMI output and an old MacBook with a DisplayPort output. I'd love to connect both to a monitor (one at a time is fine), but my monitor only has VGA/DVI. I tried to buy a VGA to HDMI cable, but it didn't work - I haven't found one from a reputable brand that costs less than a new monitor. The easiest solution may be to find a slightly newer monitor mean to work with computers from 2015-ish times.
Can you help me out?
