Here's a tub of coving adhesive listed for fixing plaster coving, I don't know if it's suitable for the polystyrene type of coving.
The tub is nearly full, it was used some time ago but the adhesive still seems very workable and hopefully should still stick!
Not much I can add to what you can see in the images.
