Late Victorian Piano for reuse or wood? (Fort Pitt ME1)

Good Day Fellow Freeglers!

We need to say goodbye to this piano. I have been told there is demand for such instruments to convert to bars, bookshelves or cupboards and/or there may be some nice wood for a crafty person to use in their projects (not sure how much is solid and how much is veneer).

This upright piano was made by Archibald Ramsden probably in the late 1890's. It has a wooden rather than an iron frame and is a common English design. Two of the hammers have broken and the tuner swapped them so the bottom two notes do not play. As long as I can remember the piano has been tuned half a tone low on account of its wooden frame. As the tuner said, "It is a good age but unfortunately this kind of piano does not age well". So it probably has had its day as a musical instrument but we would love to find someone who can repurpose it or reuse the wood from it.

You would need to collect it and we have some steps to go up from the house you should be aware of.

Regards

Chris
