JVC MX-C220 stereo system (working radio & CD player) (Stargate NE40)

Complete system: single unit containing radio, double tape deck and CD player with 3 disk trays (and autochanger); speakers separate. Includes instructions, leads, aerials and remote control. Stereo unit height and depth approximately 32 cm, width 24 cm; speaker height the same as stereo unit, depth 23 cm, width 18 cm. The AM/FM radio and CD player work correctly and the sound is good with plenty of bass. Neither of the tape decks works - the left one does not stay closed by itself (it can be kept closed with Scotch tape) and jams, and the right one unravels the tape. I am offering this on behalf of a friend and have not investigated the possibility of repairing the tape deck.
