It switches on and should work but has sat doing nothing for quite a while. I no longer possess the scart lead to connect to a television to check it definitely works. So, if you would like this item you would need to get hold of a scart lead for connection to tv.
It might also be of interest to someone who likes to fiddle with electronics. Might not be very useful to someone who likes to repair as I think it should work properly.
