Slow cooker (Meal Bank LA8)

I tried to do pulled pork yesterday in my ordinary oven and it came out burnt to a frazzle - I should really have used a slow cooker, but I don't have one. Has anyone out there got a slow cooker that they don't use any more? I would really appreciate it - it would save me from more disasters!
