dining chair with arms - Wanniassa

We no longer need this dining chair with arms - the type is commonly
called a 'carver' because the 'man of the house' used it as he carved
the roast! We think the timber is oak, and the chair is certainly
English as it was brought out from England with other furniture about 70
years ago.

The front stretcher has broken in two, but it should be a simple repair.
Below is a photo of it, with the pieces of the stretcher shown on the seat.
