Reposting, as some people suggested how to clean, I thought I would try then I didn't get around to it. Hence reposting.
Vtech kids laptop, it was hardly used. We forgot the batteries in, I have just checked and seen that the battery section got rusty so it doesn't work with the new batteries. I heard that you can clean the rust etc... If anybody knows how to get it working, you are welcome to it, otherwise I am afraid it will have to go to the tip.
