I have had this since I picked it up from another Freegler in July 2019, and it has served me well; it was still working when I last used it a month ago, on the HP Instant Print Scheme. You would have to get ink cartridges for it [or join Instant Print Scheme yourself] as I have terminated my contract with Instant Print. Even if you didn't use it as a printer, it's still good for scanning to pdf and jpg files, lovely clear bright copies of documents and photos.
It connects to laptops via USB or WiFi, and to phones over WiFi.
