1 gallon glass jar (Westbrae Berkeley)

I want to make my own kombucha. The recipe requires a one gallon glass jar, like restaurant pickle jar. It doesn't need to be pretty, just needs to be able to hold boiling water. If you are a home kombucha maker, could you please give me a scobie to start with, too? Thanks for sharing. Deb
