Empty crisp packets (Winyates West B98)

Is anyone still collecting empty clean crisp packets for making blankets for the homeless?......can't find anything current by Googling as all articles are 2021 and earlier. I know I can put them in soft plastic recycling collections but would rather they went to a good cause if anyone is still making blankets
