Medium / large dog crate (Penwortham Lane PR1)

Hi everyone I’m really hoping someone could help. I’ve takin in a 6 month old pup and am hoping to get him crate trained for night times, so he will sleep in there and then come out in mornings for the day, with the cage still being open so he can go in and out whenever, Kind off call it his safe space.
