This hardware had an intermittent problem a while ago. I paid a local electronics repair engineer to get it fixed. He assured me he fixed it, though I haven't hooked it up to any devices since then to prove it. It needs a scart-to-HDMI converter by the way, which you can get from the usual web re-sellers such as Amazon. They're pretty cheap.

The transparent protective stickers are still on the front - the ones you remove after you've bought a device from new. Why my relatives left them on there I don't know!
