These were for kimchi. I use them to get food from the bulk store. They are amazing for shopping (super light weight with convenient handles) and also easy to organize on a shelf, but we eat a lot of kimchi, and don't need an endless supply of large storage containers for buying food from the bulk store. Also good for taking water to a picnic, maybe craft storage purposes ect.
The second picture is to reference size (fairly large - 4 litres) and to see the convenient handle.
