Door had some rust. Was spray painted with tremclad a few months ago.
The door can also be held shut with a velcro loop, or carabiner clip etc depending on the pet's persistence/ingenuity.

Crates were given a preliminary clean. Have been in storage 1/yr or more. Please plan on doing a thorough scrub, sanitizing, before using for your animals.
