Plug-in Christmas tree lights - half working! (Pontfaen/Forge SY20)

These plug-in Christmas tree lights are over 30 feet long but only the bulbs in the half nearer the plug are working. Does anyone want to take these & try to fix the fault or use them as they are? (We’re located between Machynlleth & Forge.)
