Hi. I just started my first business a few months ago.
I have been hand-building clay decor items, such as orchid pots, serving trays and small sculptures.
Over Christmas I set-up along the road near Vail and in 4 days I almost sold out.
For my birthday I was gifted a pottery class by a friend and I really loved it. It is harder to do for me, but I would love to start selling thrown pottery, so I need to practice.
If anybody has an old pottery wheel I could borrow for a few months to practice on and make enough items to sell so I can afford to buy my own wheel, I would he very grateful. It does not have to be great. Or even if it needs some repair that is fine.
I am not good at it yet, so practice is key, but honestly I can not afford to pay for wheel time at the co-op AND my supplies. Anything would help me get this business going. Even a few weeks of use if you currently use your wheel.
I can pick up from anywhere in the greater Tucson area. A deposit and signing papers for the loan of the wheel is no problem.
I hope someone out there has one collecting dust. Or even pass my info along if you know of a retired potter.
Happy New Year and prosperity to all!
Thank you so much.
