Unusual shape clock - works - but read on! (Abraham Heights LA1)

Very pretty blue alarm clock with an unusual holographic type face. I know it works because it ticks and the second hand moves - but only when it's face down...not very practical! I'm hoping someone will know how to fix it and get some use from it. Sadly, my husband doesn't like ticking clocks or I'd have tried to fix it and keep it!
