This item works (in that it switches on) but there are two issues that need addressing:
1) I cannot get the waste cavity to open, to release the dirt trapped inside.
2) I think it will need the two filters replacing, one of which is only accessible when you have the above open. Replacement filters should only cost about £20. At present when turned on there is a light burning smell, probably because of these problems restricting flow.
Just trying to avoid taking this to the dump - I believe if someone has the ability to open the cavity (it may just require brute strength!) and can replace the filters, it should be good to work hopefully! It has been an excellent upright we've used in the past. We also have the original box and manual in the loft, so if wanted I can get this down too :-)
