For raising a free-standing monitor four inches from the desk surface. Has a couple of underscreen storage shelves. Was a cheap one - cost me about a tenner - and you can see that it bows slightly in the middle but that doesn't affect its usability - I have used it for several years. (I no longer need it as I now have two monitors fixed by clamp-stands)
