This is a inkjet fax/scan/copy/printer.
This printer works fine if you use it regularly. I read that using it once a week will keep the ink cartridges from clogging. I never use it regularly so it is just not the right printer for me
It is likely that you will need to replace the cartridges. They are Lexmark number 34 and number 35. They are not expensive. I have seen them for $30 for the pair new and I have seen them $10 - $20 for the pair refilled.
For those who notice. I posted and gifted the same model a couple of months back. This is the second of the two I had.
