Carpentry tools and bits (Sevenoaks TN13)

I am helping an Afghan refugee who is doing carpentry courses but he has no tools. Therefore we are looking to build up a kit of useable items (saws, planes, drill, chisels, marking and measuring implements etc.) for him to work with. Anything big or small that still has life in it would be useful. Many thanks.
