Struggling microwave (North federal Way)

30" Samsung hanging microwave. My new one did not come with a hanging bar so I kept the old one. I had to slam the door shut and repeatedly push start for it to work. It did work after those tricks, but I updated my kitchen so this got replaced. If anyone is handy with electronics you may be able to figure out what's wrong and fix it.
