Rotary mower - not working (Emsworth PO10)

Old mower (20 yrs) working fine until a few days ago. I emptied the cuttings container and after that it wouldn't start again. I assume it's an electrical fault but don't know for sure. Thought I would offer here for spares or fixing before it goes to the tip.
