Vintage worktop washing machine (Oxford OX4)

This is a "worktop" or "tabletop" mini washing machine from the 1980s; it needs no plumbing. It is filled either directly from a tap using the hose provided, or using a bucket, jug, kettle or any other vessel. It drains by gravity - there is no drain-pump - via a hose that attaches to the bottom of the machine, into the sink, a bucket, or any other suitable container.

I bought it without instructions, but a friend has used her identical machine to do all her laundry since the early 80s, and I photocopied her original instruction manual (see photos), so the machine comes with complete instructions.

I have test-washed using the machine and it worked well, but I have not used the dryer facility on it. I have no reason to think it doesn't work, but can't guarantee it.

The instruction manual states a maximum load for washing as 4.5lb or 2kg, and for drying, half the above. You should note that this machine does not spin, so washing would need to be spun or wrung before drying.

The machine was bought as a trial for a relative with disabilities, but lack of a usable worktop made it impractical, therefore I have only used it once for the original test-wash.

The weight of the machine is 9.5 kg
