35mm camera (El Cerrito Plaza)

Exakta VX IIa 35mm SLR film camera with black leather case and light meter. Made by Ihagee in Dresden, Germany (formerly East Germany). This model was produced between 1956-63. The camera was owned used and by my grandfather in the 60s and perhaps beyond. It has been sitting unused in a closet probably since the late 70s except for some brief use in the early 80s. It was working then and should still be. It appears to be in very good condition. I don't know anything about cameras, so I probably can't answer questions about it, but there is a very informative article at http://camera-wiki.org/wiki/Exakta_Kine_and_Varex_Series#Exakta_Varex_IIa. Apparently, these were used by professionals and serious amateurs. I hope it will go to a home where it will be used and appreciated, but it could also be an excellent prop given its classic styling and looks.
