Diamond lapping film - high grit, even just small sections (Shinfield RG2)

Hello, I've taken up wood carving and am experimenting with the best way to hone my equipment. I'd like to give the diamond lapping film a go but want to try it before spending a lot of money on it. If you have a little bit you don't mind me trying out I'd be very grateful. Thank you in advance.
