Free: Hen House (Project) (Cromford, DE4) Withdrawn - It seems a shame to throw out our little hen house which I built according to my wife's very exacting specifications. It is in need of restoration - basically will need 4 new hinges (as these have rusted), and a new section of the roof making with a fresh bit of plywood. I can probably provide that fresh bit of plywood too. We don't have hens any more and I've been using the henhouse to store coal and logs for a few years instead but it has become weather-worn and in need of some restoration/TLC. Features of this amazing little hen house are: an openable section of the roof (when it works) to get access to the eggs from the two laying bays in that part of the hen house. Two separate laying bays. A rustic perch, doors on the side of the house that open and a tray that pulls out to enable 'mukcing out' easily. A cute arched door on the front with a latch and a little ledge under upon which a ramp can be placed. The entire roof comes off too for easy transport & access to the entire inside of the house. If anyone has hens and is interested, it would make a relatively easy and perhaps interesting project for someone and it would be lovely to see this go to another nice home and get a new lease of life as we travel a lot and don't have any plans to get more hens.

Request: Loft boards (Cromford, DE4) - Hi, if anyone has any surplus loft boards they don't need, I'd be happy to take them an give them a good home (well, my loft). Request: Shoe Boxes (Cromford, DE4) - If anyone has a number of shoe boxes (or similar size boxes) I could use these for storage. I've just cleared my loft and need to put things back in a more orderly fashion. Annoyingly I recently chucked out a lot of shoe boxes which would have been useful for storing heavy stuff without making carrying them difficult. I'm trying to avoid putting too much heavy stuff in each box as I'm not getting any younger and it's a pain getting them in and out of the loft when they have any weight to them. Anyways, all that to say if anyone has some shoe boxes they don't need (or similar size/relatively small storage boxes), I can give these a good home ;-) Request: Thermawrap (Cromford, DE4) Withdrawn - On the offchance. If anyone has any of this stuff they don't need - any pieces at all, old rolls or offcuts? I just insulated my loft with Thermawrap (looks like a cross between foil & bubble wrap) and have a few gaps left uncovered but not enough to warrant buying a new roll. Request: Log Basket (Cromford, DE4) - If anyone has a decent sized log basket in good condition that they no longer need, I can give it a good home (mine is starting to fall to pieces) - maybe someone who is switching from a log burner to a gas fire? Bit of a long shot but thought I'd give it a try, you never know! Free: Pair of brass basin taps (Cromford, DE4) Withdrawn - Could clean up quite nicely (may need new washers etc to get back to their prime as quite old but work well enough). Seems a shame to throw them out so hopefully someone wants and can use these.

Free: Sony speakers (Cromford, DE4) - Pair of Sony Speakers (were from a midi hifi system) if these are of use to anyone. They've been in the loft for many years so not sure what state they are in but they were working fine when we put them up there so should be OK. The sticker on the back is faded but my guess is that these are probably around 40W per speaker

Free: Old Boiler for Parts (Cromford, DE4) Withdrawn - Here is an old Baxi boiler just taken out which may be useful for parts. I was expecting someone to take the whole thing but it's already been butchered with someone taking the cover, someone else the expansion tank and someone else the front control panel, so not sure if there are parts left people would be interested in or someone wants to take the rest if they have space somewhere to store then strip it. Posted on the off-chance but seems to be useful to people. Maybe the pump would be useful to someone? I don't think the PRV is good. Boiler is being thrown out due to a small gas leak so as far as I know all other parts should be OK (except the PRV which I suspect is faulty). I'll give it a few days in case any use to anyone then take to the tip.
