Request: laptop (Ashton-on-Ribble PR2) Withdrawn - An oap friend's laptop has died, the good news is I will be installing Linux Mint on its replacement & Mint will run on a laptop deemed obsolete by later Windows systems, thereby extending the useful life of the laptop. Ta for reading. Request: Basic mobile phone (Ashton-on-Ribble PR2) Withdrawn - My old one has finally stopped working, am told it needs 4G for the ASDA/Vodaphone system, other than that any old one would be welcome. Many thanks for reading. Request: Electric Hair Trimmer Clipper (Ashton-on-Ribble PR2) Expired - My old one has given up & am not skilled enough to use just scissors, many thanks for reading. Request: Couple of cushions (Ashton-on-Ribble PR2) Expired - Could give a good home to, and would revive an well loved old arm chair. Ta for reading. Request: Basic Alarm Clock (Ashton-on-Ribble PR2) Expired - Either electric or wind up is fine. For occasional use, to replace one that finally gave up the ghost after about 30 years!! Ta for reading. Request: Blood Pressure Monitor (Ashton-on-Ribble PR2) Expired - Mine has started giving wierd readings. On the assumption that the monitor is on the way out & not me I can give a good home to an unwanted/unused machine. Would prefer an arm rather than wrist type but would be grateful for either. Request: Old Laptop for OAP friend (Ashton-on-Ribble PR2) Expired - His 12 year old Toshiba has just given up, replacement need not be all singing all dancing since will be putting Linux Mint on it not Windows. But 4Gb of memory would help. Request: Digital voice recorder (Ashton-on-Ribble PR2) Expired - Getting a bit forgetful/deaf in old age, believe these recorders can be size of a usb pen drive. Would be handy to be able to make a recording of conversations. Hope someone has a basic one they no longer use or have upgraded from. Ta for reading Geoff Request: cordless landline telephone (Ashton-on-Ribble PR2) Expired - Mine just gone on blink so have the rechargeable batteries. Ideal if an answerphone is built in but I can live without the feature, they will just have to try again later like in the good old days of buttons A and B !!!!
