Request: Oscilloscope (Gilcomston AB25) Expired - This seems like a big ask. I'm teaching my eldest electronics (he wants to build robots!) and this would be a huge help. Anything considered and hugely appreciated. Condition and age is unimportant; so long as it's working or could be /got/ working with minimal skills (mine are rusty, to say the least!). Thanks for reading. Free: Brother DCP-1512 Printer/Scanner (Gilcomston AB25) Gifted - Fairly old but working Brother DCP-1512 Black & White Laser Printer and Scanner. Won't install in Windows 10 afaik, but will in Windows 7 / Linux. Toner cartridges are cheap and there should be a decent supply inside, though it hasn't printed in a while and will likely need a wee clean to get printing perfectly again. FREE.

Free: Old Laptop [READ DESCRIPTION] (Gilcomston AB25) Gifted - Old Celeron Advent/Fujitsu/DixonsXP "EiSystem" 4419 laptop. I got this DOA along with some other stuff and have got it working again, added hard drive and installed an OS.. Specs: Celeron 2.6GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 60GB Hard drive. This thing is too slow to run a modern Windows (although there is a Windows 7 sticker on it, I suspect someone added that - the sticker on the rear is for XP, which sounds about right), so I have installed Debian (Linux) on it, with the LXQt desktop, which runs well. If you just need a basic computer for email and simple web surfing (don't expect to run more than one or two tabs in Firefox - you may want to install a more lightweight web browser, anyway) this will do the job. This would also be a good machine if you just want to learn Linux/bash, do some coding, or whatever. NOTE: This laptop has no battery, but I have an old universal power supply that fits it, which you can have. The touchpad isn't recognised in Linux (it's not recognised in Windows, either) and while there may be a driver out there (a fun couple of hours for you!) I can give you a wireless mouse which works fine, if you don't have one. This laptop has no WiFi. I don't even think it has space for a WiFi card, so you will either need to run it with an ethernet cable (I can give you one of these, though there was probably one in the box with your router) or else get yourself a WiFi USB dongle. There are a couple of cracks and scuffs, as you can see from the pics. Nothing that affects the operation, though. I also don't expect that this is the most energy-efficient laptop on the block! This laptop is FREE. But does not come with free tech support!

Free: Black&Decker Dustbuster Extreme (Gilcomston AB25) Expired - Picked this up here for free but it needs a battery, which are around £40 (and a superior vacuum can be had for about a third of this!). Otherwise fully working, so would be good for parts, if you have the same model.
