Philips surround sound system (Chelmsford CM1) 2h - Philips surround sound system, very old now, was working when last used, but fiddly to set up, and the instructions disappeared over the course of several moves. Most, if not all, of the cables are in the box. Can't be bothered with it any more, collect from CM1, near CCHS.

Complete DVD set of Farscape. (Chelmsford CM1) Promised 3d - Amazing TV series, and the mini-series that finished the story after it was cancelled. Will be sad to see it go, but no room for storage, and streaming everything nowadays anyway.

Shelving Unit, bookcase. (Chelmsford CM1) Gifted 73d - Largish shelving unit, we have been using for larger books. Reasonable condition. Has not been dismantled because it is unlikely to go back together again without damage, so you will need a large car or a van to transport it. 89.5cm wide, 167cm tall, 28.2cm deep (no idea why the size is that weird, it doesn't correspond to anything sensible in imperial units either).

A4 plastic pockets. (Chelmsford CM1) Gifted 79d - I swear these things breed....handful of A4 plastic pockets for ring binders, various stages of usedness, from nearly new to a bit crumpled and labelled.

Four children's Rugged Laptops, NOT WORKING (Chelmsford CM1) Gifted 79d - Four children's rugged laptops, were discarded by a special school. One charger plus cable. These do not appear to have an operating system, they seem to be looking for a USB OS or a network OS which isn't connected. Have tried a bootable USB stick but it needs an i686 OS and I do not have one (or the time and patience to obtain one - Arch or Phantom?). Very old, bios date is 2002, and there is a PAT label which states that the next test date is 2012. Might be an interesting project for someone. EDITED TO ADD: 19th April 11:19 These are now promised to someone on Freecycle, so I can't mark them promised on here, and I don't want to withdraw them because it usually takes several goes to get things collected. I am now operating a queue and there is currently one person waiting. 19th April 1605 Two people waiting.

Bookcase, small. (Chelmsford CM1) Gifted 87d - Small three shelf bookcase, some scrapes and marks to top surface, otherwise reasonable condition. Has not been taken apart, it's old and will probably never go back together again if dismantled. 81cm wide, 99cm tall, 23cm deep.

Dead computer, NO HARD DRIVE. (Chelmsford CM1) Gifted 87d - Dead computer, probably the mother board, we have taken the hard drive out, but as far as I know the rest is still inside. Spares only, or for a rebuild enthusiast.

Baseball cap (Chelmsford CM1) Expired 97d - Black baseball cap, adjustable fit. A very helpful person has informed me that the text reads 'Raam' in Hindi and Sanskrit and that Raam/Rama/Ram is a Hindu god. He is one of the 10 incarnations of Vishnu. (Thank you very much to that person!) Has been washed.

Three telephone message pads (Chelmsford CM1) Gifted 100d - Was one large book of message notes, but were cut into four, to make single message books. Only one got used. The backs are blank, so could be used as individual notebooks (shopping lists!), and the printed front ignored.

Out of date Origami Calendar (Chelmsford CM1) Gifted 100d - Origami calendar from 2013. The origami animals were made for the first five months, so June onwards are still to be constructed. Putting on here because although useless as a calendar, the practice squares are still intact, and there are still 7 animals to make, so might keep someone or their children amused for a while. You could also use the instructions to make the missing animals using the practice squares, and then colour them.

The Book Your Church Doesn't Want You to Read (Chelmsford CM1) Gifted 112d - The book your church doesn't want you to read is a book of shortish essays about religion. As far as I can see it's one of those conspiracy theories books (but it isn't mine so I might be wrong). Has sat, unread, for years on the shelf. Faded spine, otherwise new condition. Last chance, cardboard recycling Thursday. Or maybe paper recycling next week, if no one wants it.
