We are trying to find a home for "Olivia", I am posting this for a lovely woman who cares for many cats she finds abandoned. Her description of Sweet Olivia’s Story:
Olivia was found in Placitas, NM. She was trapped in a live trap and taken to Animal Humane for their Trap/Neuter/Return Program. After being anesthetized it was determined she had already been spayed. She was then given her rabies and FVRCP shots. Her left ear was tipped in order to identify her as already spayed. Rather than release her, I kept her inside to see if she was affectionate and could be a pet. It took a while, but she now runs to me when I come in the room. She likes to sleep on my lap and loves to be petted. She scares easily at loud noises and if I put my hand over her head. She still needs a little socializing but would do well in a quiet home. Probably not good with children and I do not know how she would do with other animals.
I took her to my regular vet and had her tested. She is about 2 years old and negative for feline leukemia, FIV and heartworm. She uses a litter box.
Olivia the Office Girl deserves more attention and a better home than I can give her. Olivia has been living in my office all this time and is lonely, because one of my cats does not tolerate others. She is looking for her forever home.
