We have a 25 yr. old (purchased new in the 90s) comfortable 82" sofa and 60" loveseat set to give away (see pictures) that has survived years of our growing kids, cat love, sleep overs kid acrobatics, little grandkids and two household moves. They are standard; no hide-a-bed.
The frame is still very good. Research on label shows that it is "Philadelphia Gem, oak hardwood frame" but the upholstery is worn, has some holes and the cushions need a major foam replacement. I have cushion foam I can give you. That attached photo gives you more details.
This set would be perfect for the playroom, basement TV room, man-cave, teen bedroom with no worries about spills and general misuse. OR as a great upholstery project for someone who wants the do it. And there are lots of good DIY books at the library.
The alternative is to trash these in Kitsap County landfill and that would be a shame. We live in Hansville, which is at the end of the Kitsap peninsula.
You would need to pick these up.
I really hate to put these in the waste stream but I my not have a choice. Reuse, recycle, reinvent....
