Cats for Adoption (22193)

We have two cats, and they don't get along as well as we had hoped. One of the cats (the original one we owned) started spraying shortly after we adopted her "brother". We now keep them in the basement because we run a daycare during the day. There are no windows down there. We have tried making them outdoor cats, but there are a couple of strays who "own" the neighborhood where we live, and we live near a main road, so we are afraid they wouldn't fare well as they have always been indoor cats. Up to date on all shots and they do not have any diseases/cat leukemia/etc. It is recommended that they not be adopted together, but go to separate homes, just because the spraying behavior never happened before we got the second cat. Also, the cat that started spraying NEVER sprayed before, even when we lived in a house with other cats---probably because it wasn't HER house, right? So, if you already have pets, that is probably fine because she will respect their territory and she won't spray (I think). Or if you are really good with cats, you could try and work with her. The male doesn't spray that we know of...
