I have a vintage hand drill that need some love. What fun it would be to clean this up and oil it. I know that it works and I have even used it a time or two.
It is from a time when there were a lot of nicely made hand tools around. I cant tell you how old it is, but it is a hand drill, so, go figure.
I suspect that it had belonged to my Dad who was of the depression era, So, he probably used it sometime around the 40s or 50s.
He built so much.
But, it is doing nothing more than languishing in my garage. If someone had a thing for vintage tools, I hope they can restore it.
You could actually pick it up right now and drill into something with it. It has a quite large auger in it, maybe about 4" long or so.
