It is relatively old, but in perfect working order. I've just upgraded to
Thermoworks devices and no longer need it. It comes with a single AAA
battery, but you may want to replace it (or remove it when storing it for
long periods) because I find that old Duracell batteries leak like cloth
diaper!
I've lost the manual for it, but I found instructions on the web (below the
picture) and they are accurate. Besides the pre-programmed meats (which
have various taste temps), you can set a specific temp on the UI selection.
It has a C/F scale switch on the back.
