This is a little scratch here & there, but the top has a hard finish kind of like formica that has held up very well. It's sturdy, but somehow one leg is slightly shorter than the others or something because there's a little wobble back & forth on a diagonal. I had simply placed something under a leg & it was just fine, but I suspect someone who looks at it can figure it out & resolve.
