The remains of a broken LED light. Some, but not all, of the LEDs still work and there's nothing wrong with the remote control if you can find something it works with. The controller was accidentally shorted so would as a minimum need the blown part replacing. Originally, it could be changed between warm white, cool white and daylight and be dimmed using the remote control.
